My name is Danny Andreas, I am a 55-year-old distance dad, and despite the challenges that distance has presented, I have successfully nurtured a strong and beautiful dad-daughter relationship with my now 9-year-old daughter, even though we live over one thousand kilometers apart (that’s roughly 620 miles).

JOURNEY FULL OF CHALLENGES

The long distance fathering journey of me and my daughter has not been without its difficulties, but the bond we have forged has made every effort worthwhile.

My daughter has grown up bilingual, effortlessly embracing my native language and culture and when she first visited my home country, she felt home immediately.

The strong connection we have since she was born, has motivated me to find and develop practical strategies on how to be the best long distance father possible.

Over the years, I have been approached by fellow long distance dads an d divorced facing similar situations, seeking guidance.

Because I have always liked to express my thoughts by writing, I decided to start this blog and share my knowledge, insights, and experiences with other distance fathers and dads who find themselves in similar circumstances.

Why dads specifically?

Because being a distance dad myself, I recognize the nuances and challenges that come from a father’s perspective.
